Health and Care Worker Visa
A Health and Care Worker visa allows medical professionals to come to or stay in the UK to do an eligible job with the NHS, an NHS supplier or in adult social care. Skilled Worker Visa
A Skilled Worker visa allows you to come to or stay in the UK to do an eligible job with an approved employer.
This visa which has replaced the Tier 2 (General) work visa allows you to work in UK waters.

Student Visa
You can apply for a Student visa to study in the UK if you’re 16 or over and you:
Have been offered a place on a course by a licensed student sponsor
Have enough money to support yourself and pay for your course – the amount will vary depending on your circumstances
Can speak, read, write and understand English
Have consent from your parents if you’re 16 or 17 – you’ll need evidence of this when you apply

Child Student Visa
You can apply for a Child Student visa if you’re between 4 and 17 years old and you want to study at an independent school in the UK.
You must:
Have an unconditional offer of a place on a course at an independent school be able to show you’ll have access to enough money to support you in the UK and pay for your course
Have the consent of your parent or guardian to study in the UK – you’ll need to prove this when you apply.

Study English in the UK (Short-term Study Visa)
You can apply for a Short-term study visa to study English language in the UK.
This visa is for English language courses lasting longer than 6 months and up to 11 months. If your course is different to this, check which visa you need.
How long you can stay
You can stay in the UK for the length of your course plus an extra 30 days as long as your stay is no longer than 11 months.

Graduate Visa
A Graduate visa gives you permission to stay in the UK for at least 2 years after successfully completing a course in the UK. You must be in the UK when you apply.

UK Ancestry Visa
You can apply for a UK Ancestry visa if you’re one of the following:
a Commonwealth citizen
a British overseas citizen
a British overseas territories citizen
a British national (overseas)
a citizen of Zimbabwe
You must also:
Prove one of your grandparents was born in the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man

Youth Mobility Scheme Visa
You can apply for a Youth Mobility Scheme visa if you:
Want to live and work in the UK for up to 2 years
Are aged 18 to 30 (or 18 to 35 if you’re from New Zealand)
Have £2,530 in savings
Have certain types of British Nationality or are from certain countries or territories listed in the eligibility requirements.
From 31 January 2024, you can apply if you’re from:
Australia or Canada and aged 18 to 35
Andorra or Uruguay and aged 18 to 30

Global Talent Visa
You can apply for a Global Talent visa to work in the UK if you’re a leader or potential leader in one of the following fields:
academia or research
arts and culture
digital technology
You must also be at least 18 years old.
Before you apply for a visa
You can usually only apply for a Global Talent visa if you have successfully applied for an endorsement to prove that you are a leader or potential leader.
You can apply for the visa without an endorsement if you’ve won an eligible award.

High Potential Individual (HPI) Visa
A High Potential Individual (HPI) visa gives you permission to stay in the UK for at least 2 years. To apply, you must have been awarded a qualification by an eligible
university in the last 5 years.
